 Introduction

Ever needed to see how much free space your PC partition had in it, but
didn't want to have to boot up the PC software to find out?

This program waits for count requests from filer menus referring to an
image file and instead displays a standard free space window.

_____________________________________________________________________________

 Usage

Load ImageFree by double-clicking on it's icon in a filer window. Then
select an 'image' file and using the filer menu choose the count option, the
free space that image file contains will be revealed.

Note:

  1) Certain image filing systems don't usefully implement the read free
space call, and these file types will inform you that they have
gigabytes of free space (e.g. ArcFS, ImageFS2 files).

  2) Some image filing systems don't support the call at all (e.g.
     StrongHelp)

  3) For the above reasons ImageFree reads the values returned by the call
and only opens the free space window if sensible values are returned.

  4) Currently file types FC8 (DOSDisc) and FCD (FileCore - FCFS) are known
to respond correctly, there are probably others and they will be handled
     automatically by ImageFree.
