Frodo speedup tips - by Steve Robb (stever@codemasters.com)
===========================================================

These are a few tips to allow you to squeeze the maximum speed out of Frodo:

1. Change to a 16 colour mode and use the C64Palette file to get the correct colours. Do this before loading Frodo, or press F12 then RETURN to refresh the display.
2. If you want a large display, change to a 480x352 mode rather than using the window zoom button.
3. If you've enabled 1541 emulation to get a certain fastloader to work, disable it again once the game has loaded. If the game is a multi-load, remember to re-enable BEFORE more loading occurs.
4. Shrink the size of the Frodo window to exclude borders if they don't contain any useful data.
5. Use the Scroll-Lock key to make Frodo single-task. It tells you this in the !Help file, but it's easily missed (by me anyway :-) )!
6. Turn off SID filter emulation. The only difference I've noticed is that filter emulation seems to make sound disappear in some games, so it's a good idea to turn it off anyway.
7. Some games such as Power Drift and Turbo Outrun have low frame rates, so increasing the "Skip Frames" value for these games. It has no noticable effect to the game display.
8. Increase the "Poll sounds lines" value in the Configuration menu. The sound quality may decrease in some games, but most will still sound fine. I had it set at 312 (as suggested) for ages without noticing any poor sound (until Mega Apocalypse came along).
9. Turn off SID emulation completely!
10. Use Frodo 4.0 instead of 4.1. There's apparently no reason why 4.1 should be slower, but it is... :-)
11. Turn off sprites. Ok, it's getting a but silly now... :-)
