Licence

This program is EMAILWARE. You may use it and distribute it freely, as long
as it is unaltered. You may alter it for your personal use. However, if you
decide to use my program you MUST email me with a message telling me so.

I like email like this:

-----8-<----------8-<----------Cut-Here-----8-<----------8-<----------8-<-----

Alisdair,

I downloaded Monty today and I must say that it's proved to be very useful
and helped stop unsolicited email.

I think that adding blah blah blah would be useful because wibble wobble
jelly. I found a bug: if you blah the foo in a certain wibble, the ginger is
unaligned.

Please continue to develop this software,

                                        Pete

-----8-<----------8-<----------Cut-Here-----8-<----------8-<----------8-<-----

OK? It's not too much to ask. :-)

Purpose
-------
Note: Monty requires the ANT Internet Suite to run.

Monty aims to combat UCE sourced from news groups by allowing you to change
your email address in news posts only. It takes every news article you post
and alters up to 20 strings in it according to the file 'Strings' inside
the application.

Disclaimer
----------
Neither Illusion Software nor the authors of 'Monty' have any direct control
over the use to which this product is put, and therefore offer no warranty
relating to its use or misuse. No liability whatsoever is accepted by
Illusion Software or the authors of 'Monty' for loss or damage of any kind
arising from the use or misuse of this product.

Use
---
Edit the file inside the application called 'News' to suit your internet
details - for example, if your email address is bob@argonet.co.uk your file
might look like this:

Original_text:bob@argonet.co.uk
Change_to:bob@argonet.NO.SPAM.THANKS.co.uk
Original_text:mailto:bob@argonet.co.uk
Change_to:mailto:bob@argonet.NO.SPAM.THANKS.co.uk

You can have up to 20 texts defined for automatic switching in News
articles. However none of the original text items can have any spaces in
them AT ALL.

eg Original_text:bob beetleman

will not be converted!

Note that the strings are processed in order.

You can also use the 'Sig_Insert:<text>' item to add an extra line to any
news articles that are altered. This way others have instructions as to what
to remove from the address so that its correct and they can reply via email.

Simply run the program on starting the ANT Internet Suite and leave it
running. It will work automatically.

Choices
-------
You can also alter a number of choices by altering some of the items in the
'News' script file.

  Exact_match:No

If you have a script setup to convert user@not-exist.com to
user@not-exist.NO-SPAM.com and Monty comes up against a word
which contains the text to convert. With this flag set it will
convert the text, otherwise it will leave it alone.

    eg welcome_user@not-exist.com_to_the_town_hall

    becomes .....

    when set: welcome_user@not-exist.NO-SPAM.com_to_the_town_hall
    when unset: welcome_user@not-exist.com_to_the_town_hall

  Convert_Head:Yes

Do you want the header of a news article to be altered.

  Convert_Body:Yes

Do you want the body of a news article to be altered.

  Convert_Sig:Yes

Do you want the signature of a news article to be altered.
