MEPTelnet
---------
This is a public domain Telnet Fetcher for WebsterXL, which allows WebsterXL
to start up FreeTerm in response to telnet URLs.

FreeTerm is a free Telnet application. It might be available from
http://www.xargle.demon.co.uk/2020 but if you cannot find it there, go to
http://www.acornsearch.com/ and you should be able to find it fairly easily.

Put MEPTelnet in the !WebsterXL.Fetchers directory. Load up WebsterXL, and
from the iconbar menu choose Configure->Browser. Click on the Fetchers radio
button. There is a box marked "Method" and a menu icon to its right. Click
on the menu icon and select "TELNET" from the drop down menu. Click on the
"Call Command Below" option and in the box below type

    <WebsterXL$Fetch>.MEPTelnet %0

A WimpSlot of 32k will be ample. Save the settings and close the
configuration window. Close down Webster.

For the Telnet fetcher to work, the filer must have "seen" FreeTerm, but
FreeTerm does not necessarily have to be running already.

To try it out, connect to the Internet, and start up WebsterXL. Type the
following in as a URL in WebsterXL:

    telnet://library.ox.ac.uk/

You should find that FreeTerm starts up and connects you to the Oxford
Libraries OPAC.

The fetcher has been tested with FreeTerm version 1.39 and WebsterXL version
1.92f.
