Short Description:

FileAct is a handy desktop utility. It provides powerful,
programmable, multi-file processing functions. Basically, it can
invoke any command or program on a batch of files. For example, by
specifying a one-line command template, it is possible to rename a
batch of files to names that can be built from any part of the old
name and/or the new name, a task which is very cumbersome to perform
'by hand'.
