Title: StrongED Short: Powerful text editor (v4.21) ShortName: stronged.zip Author: Guttorm Vik (guttorvi@login.eunet.no) Date: 29-may-97 Status: Shareware Archiver: SparkFS Size: ================================= Description: So, whats new since 4.16 then? : First of all StrongED can now do 'Folding'. When you fold a text, you take groups of lines and hide them away, only showing the first one. Then you go around the text and open and close the folds as you see fit. In programming one fold is often one procedure. This can be very helpful when used properly, but is probably not for everyone. Secondly, I have restructured the !StrongED directory. The most obvious effect of this is that modefiles, modewhen and filemenu have moved into !StrongED.Defaults. There they are write protected, since any changes you might want to do, should be placed in the !StrED_cfg directory. With this new directory future upgrades of StrongED should be a doodle, since you just replace the entire !StrongED directory, and have your own customizations are safe in !StrED_cfg. A restructuring that mostly affect our german friends; I now have a !StrongED.Resources.UK and a !StrongED.Resources.Germany directory containing the language-dependant files, and I use the right one automatically. The 'FileMenu' part of StrongED (that will soon be moved out into a separate application) can now contain URL's and can function as a hotlist (instead of the !Hotlist application in the ANT internet suite) As usual there is also an assorted number of bug fixes and minor new features.
