Description:

Compress will compress (and subsequently decompress) Armadeus format samples.
It is much more efficient at this than general purpose compressors such as
!SparkFS or !Squash. Particularly useful if you have large collections of
samples, or are running a BBS or FTP site, or anywhere else that you want to
keep storage requirements or transmission times to a minimum.

A background player (!Player) is available to play squashed samples directly
from disc without having to decompress them first. Also, tools (!CompUtils) are
available for you to graft compressed sample support into your own programs.
