Title: TCP/IP Short: TCP/IP package for use via SLIP, CSLIP (v2.05) ShortName: tcpip.arc Authors: Phil Karn and others Date: 2-oct-95 Status: Freeware Size (unarchived): KB Archiver: SparkFS ------------------------ Short Description: !TCPIP (KA9Q) is a TCP/IP protocol and applications package for Amateur Radio and network use via SLIP, CSLIP (Serial Line Internet Protocol). It provides access to file transfers, news, email (via SMTP and POP3), telnet connections and external applications may be used to provide access to Gopher and the World Wide Web. Connection to a TCP/IP network is via a serial connection using SLIP or CSLIP protocols. All types of serial cards are supported though the use of Hugo's block drivers (see below). From version 2.03 it includes support for Ethernet, though this is untested through not having access to Ethernet. Note: !TCPIP only provides that transport for email and news. In order to actually read and create email and news, you need a news reader. For this, I personally use !Newsbase and !TTFN. You will probably also need some software to control your modem and make a dialup connection to your internet provider. !SlipDial does this.
